I was looking for inspiration that would spark an idea for Valentine cards that Elle could give her friends at school this year and decided to start with my own past Valentine's projects. In case you haven't been following along for the last three years
I still haven't come up with the perfect idea for Elle's Valentines yet though... have you made or seen anything creative and fun for a 5 year old's class Valentines?

I just posted about some watercolor valentines I made - these could be a fun kids project if you think painting the valentine shape wouldn't be too hard for her! (maybe it would be easier if you penciled a heart shape for her to follow). http://needleandspatula.blogspot.com/2011/01/handpainted-watercolor-valentines-cards.html

What about those cute paper finger puzzles kids make? The ones they fold and put their fingers- you could write cute little hidden messages under the folds.
How about origami joke valentines? If you can muster through the instructions.. I think they turned out really darn cute! Can't wait to see what you make... that note jar is adorable!
